PROPOSED CTPHA BYLAW AMENDMENTS
To be voted on at the 2023 Winter Membership Meeting
To amend ARTICLE VI – Membership Meetings, Section 1., Regular Meetings, by:
1. Rearranging subsections A, B, and C into a more logical order.
2. Changing the wording of the new subsection B by striking out “during the Rendezvous, which historically has been scheduled on Labor Day weekend each year” and inserting “in the spring or summer of the year.”
ARTICLE VI – Membership Meetings, Section 1., as currently stated in our bylaws:
Section 1. Regular Meetings. Regular membership meetings shall be held twice a year.
A. The Annual Meeting shall be held during the Rendezvous, which historically has been scheduled on Labor Day weekend each year. The purpose of the Annual Meeting shall be the election of Officers and Directors, reports of Officers, Directors, and committees, and for any other business that may arise.
B. The Winter Membership meeting shall be held in conjunction with the CTPHA
Fur Auction. The purpose of the Winter Meeting shall be for reports of Officers, Directors, and committees, and for any other business that may arise.
C. The time and location of the next membership meeting will be determined by the Board of Directors and announced at the previous membership meeting and through the CTPHA column in the Trapper’s Post.
ARTICLE VI – Membership Meetings, Section 1., with proposed changes:
Section 1. Regular Meetings. Regular membership meetings shall be held twice a year.
To amend ARTICLE VI – Membership Meetings, Section 3., Electronic Meetings, by:
Inserting “and oral” between “aural” and “communication” so that amended Section 3 reads:
Section 3. Electronic Meetings. In the event that a Membership Meeting (Regular or Special)
cannot be held as an official gathering in a specified location, the meeting may be
held by electronic means as long as there is opportunity for simultaneous aural and
oral communication among all members. The call of the meeting will include
adequate instructions as to how to connect to and participate in the meeting.
